Golf Fitness Personal Training in the City of London (EC3V)
Golf fitness training that's built around your body and your swing. I'm a TPI Level 2 Certified golf fitness coach and DNS Exercise Specialist, based at Elevate LDN in the City of London. Every client starts with an assessment so we train what actually matters for your game.
Who golf fitness personal training in London is for
Most golfers train in ways that have nothing to do with their game. Generic gym programmes don't address what the golf swing actually demands from your body. I work with golfers who want something more targeted: training that's built around a proper assessment, coached 1-to-1, and designed to carry over to the course.
This is a great fit if you:
- Feel stiff or restricted through your backswing and rotation
- Want to hit further without relying on swing fixes alone
- Have recurring pain that flares up during or after a round
- Want to build strength and power that translates to clubhead speed
- Train in the City and want a clear, efficient approach that respects your time
The TPI body-swing connection
TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) is the world's leading framework for understanding how the body functions in relation to the golf swing. As a TPI Level 2 Certified coach, I use their assessment protocol to map your physical capabilities against what your swing demands.
That means we're not guessing at what to train. The assessment shows exactly where your restrictions, weaknesses, or asymmetries are, and how they're showing up in your swing. From there, every session is targeted.
What golf fitness training can improve
Mobility and rotation
Free up the thoracic spine, hips, and shoulders so you can complete a full backswing and generate speed through the ball. Limited rotation is one of the most common findings in a TPI screen.
Strength and stability
Build golf-specific strength through the legs, core, and upper body. Better stability means more control at impact and less energy leaking through the swing.
Power and speed
Train for clubhead speed with exercises that develop ground force, rotational power, and fast-twitch muscle engagement. More speed with control, not just effort.
Resilience and longevity
Reduce the physical toll of practice and play. Fewer flare-ups in the back, hips, and shoulders means more consistent time on the course and a longer playing career.
DNS-led coaching for better movement and control
DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation) is a specialist approach that improves how you control movement and stability. As a certified DNS Exercise Specialist, I use it to build a stronger foundation so the mobility and strength gains you make in the gym actually carry over when you swing at speed.
In practice, that means we work on breathing, core control, and movement mechanics alongside your golf fitness training. It's the reason clients who've tried generic PT before often notice a difference quickly. The body starts working as a unit rather than in parts.
How your golf fitness training works
TPI and DNS assessment
We start with a full TPI movement screen and DNS-based assessment. I'll look at your mobility, stability, strength, injury history, and golf goals. You'll leave the first session knowing exactly what's limiting you and what we're going to work on.
Coached 1-to-1 sessions
Every session at Elevate LDN is coached, not programmed and left for you to follow. We work through golf-specific mobility, stability, strength, and power work that's progressed based on how you're responding.
Progression and results
As you improve, the training evolves. We build capacity over time so the gains in the gym show up on the course. Clients who stick with it see lasting changes in how they move, how they hit the ball, and how their body holds up.
Not just a gym trainer who works with golfers
I train golfers 1-to-1 at Elevate LDN in the City, but my experience goes beyond the studio. I'm also the golf fitness trainer at Brighton & Hove Golf Club, and I've run golf fitness and assessment sessions on coaching trips in Spain. That means I understand the demands of practice and play, not just what happens in the gym. Your training is always built with the course in mind.

What clients say
“Ben quickly identified what I needed after an initial assessment and gave me a bespoke regime, pushing me a little harder each session. I'm now hitting drives and fairway shots a good 20 yards further than before, without having worked on my swing. Delighted.”
Liz de Pauley
Golfer
“We've been training for a year and gone through strength work and speed work. I've seen a 6–7 mph increase in ball speed and my lower back isn't hurting after 18 holes anymore.”
Bruce Anderson
Golfer
“When I started training with Ben I had arthritic knees and could only play a full round on a buggy. After a specifically designed course of workouts, I'm now walking three rounds a week and my game has improved as well.”
Pete Korman
Golfer
“Over 12 weeks I improved my strength and flexibility enough to add 30 yards to my drives. As a 65-year-old, that and the general fitness have really helped my game.”
