About Ben
I'm a rehabilitative personal trainer and golf fitness specialist based in the City of London and Brighton & Hove. Whether the goal is getting back to full fitness after injury or improving performance on the golf course, I help people move better and train with purpose.
How I got here
My fitness career started in an unusual place. From 2009, I ran a parkour academy with friends, travelling to Germany and Austria on coaching and performance trips. It was physical, creative, and it taught me how to move. It also gave me disc issues, and that experience of injury and recovery shaped everything that came after.
In 2012, I moved into conventional personal training at Virgin Active Broadgate Club in the City of London. By 2014 I'd become a Master Trainer, but I wanted more depth, particularly around rehabilitation. That same year, I joined London Healthcare Clinic (now Elevate LDN), a personal training studio within a multidisciplinary healthcare clinic in the Square Mile.
Working alongside chiropractors, physiotherapists, and osteopaths changed the way I think about training. That clinical environment, combined with my own injury history, pushed me towards specialist rehabilitation qualifications and ultimately towards DNS.
DNS rehabilitation
Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation is a rehabilitation approach developed at the Prague School under Professor Pavel Kolar. It's based on how the nervous system controls movement in early development, and it applies those principles to restore function in adults.
I started my DNS training in 2014 and qualified in 2015, becoming one of the first DNS Certified Exercise Trainers in the UK. It fundamentally changed how I approach rehabilitation. Rather than just treating symptoms or strengthening around a problem, DNS addresses how the body stabilises and coordinates movement at a deeper level.
I now host the London DNS Exercise courses at Elevate LDN, bringing instructors over from Prague and other European cities to teach the next generation of DNS practitioners. It's a qualification I'm genuinely passionate about, and it's at the core of everything I do with rehabilitation clients.
This is what sets my approach apart from most personal trainers. Combining DNS with the clinical relationships I've built with chiropractors, physios, and osteopaths means I can work with people coming back from complex injuries, not just general aches and pains. Golf fitness
Having moved to Sussex in 2016, I picked up golf and, like most people, immediately wanted to get better at it. A lot of my City clients were already golfers, and I'd been tailoring sessions to support their game for years. In 2019, I decided to pursue it properly.
I completed my NASM Golf Fitness Specialist qualification, followed by TPI Level 1 and TPI Fitness Level 2 certifications in 2020. That same year, I joined Brighton & Hove Golf Club as their golf fitness trainer, helping to transform the old snooker room into a swing room and performance studio.
Since then, I've also run golf fitness and assessment sessions on coaching trips in Spain. The combination of TPI screening and DNS rehabilitation is rare. It means I can help golfers improve mobility, build power, and address the physical limitations that affect their swing, all from a rehab-informed foundation. Elevate LDN
In 2021, I took over Elevate LDN as owner and moved it to its current home on Lombard Street in the City of London (EC3V). It's a private training facility where I work with clients one-to-one, and I've focused on bringing in experienced specialist trainers to keep pushing the standard of service.
It's also the home of the London DNS Exercise courses and a base for the chiropractors, physiotherapists, and osteopaths I work alongside. Having rehab, training, and clinical care under the same roof is a big part of what makes the service work.
